TO PLAY CRICKET IS EASY. TO UNDERSTAND THE GAME TAKES TIME.

SCORING

Together with players and umpires, the scorers play a significant role during any match. Both teams are required to provide scorers who work together to make sure that team totals add up, the scores of the batters are the same, bowling figures add up, sundries are added on, fall of wicket is entered and the correct fielders are identified when they are involved in a dismissal.

The 'Don Bradman' of cricket scoring was Bill Frindall who scored for 42 years with the BBC during their Test match coverage. He often provided the commentators with useful and sometimes unusual information while keeping detailed records performing his duties as a scorer.
