SHAUN TANNER-TY WATSON TWENTY/20 2013

WEDNESDAY 11th DECEMBER

The Shaun Tanner-Ty Watson Twenty/20 game was played at Wirreanda High School on Wednesday 11th December 2013.
The toss was won Connor Lock who decided that Wirreanda should field first.
After some accurate bowling from all of the Wirreanda bowlers St John’s were 3/27 after 15 overs. Connor Lock was very tidy with 0/2 from his four overs, while Andrew Cowie-Taylor took 2/12 from his four. There were sound supporting roles from Lachlan Corr, Nick Robertson and Jake Dorshorst. St John’s finished with 4/56 after their 20 overs.
In reply, the Wirreanda openers Lachlan Corr and Jake Moulder started off slowly before Connor Lock took control and scored 33 in quick time to see his side pass the required total. Jake Dorshorst contributed 14 not out before the game was called off due to rain with Wirreanda’s score being 6/69 after 16.3 overs.
Richard Hore was able to do a very good job of scoring despite the cold and rain at the end of the match.
