TO PLAY CRICKET IS EASY. TO UNDERSTAND THE GAME TAKES TIME.

WIRREANDA SECONDARY SCHOOL vs ADELAIDE HIGH SCHOOL

YEAR 10

FRIDAY 28th FEBRUARY 2014

Andrew Cowie-Taylor, Connor Lock, Josh Farley-Farrant, Jake Dorshorst, Michael Hirschausen, Richard Hore,
Jake Cuming, Jackson Willoughby, Zach Young, Connor Panozzo, Brody Thomson, Tom Thomson.

Wirreanda Secondary School played hosts to Adelaide High School in their third round Twenty/20 game on Friday 28th February.
Zach Young won the toss and decided to bat. After the early dismissal of Josh Farley-Farrant, Zach Young and Connor Lock put together a reasonable partnership of 20. Thereafter Jake Dorshorst and Connor Lock combined to take the score to 2/66 after the allocated 20 overs.
The team were instructed before going out into the field that their bowling would need to be tight and their fielding of a high standard to have a chance of bowling Adelaide out cheaply. The team responded well to have Adelaide 4/5 after 6 overs. However there was some solid resistance from the next two batsmen who took the score to 58 before Jake Cuming broke through with the first of his two wickets. Adelaide eventually finished with 6/84. Connor Lock and Josh Farley-Farrant also took two wickets each, with brilliant catches taken by Brody Thomson, Thomas Thomson and Andrew Cowie-Taylor.
Richard Hore did a fantastic job scoring and helping with organisational matters throughout the day.
