 OPEN BOYS INDOOR CRICKET 2013

MONDAY 19th AUGUST

Lachlan Ferguson, Ashley Sampson-Cave, Josh Golding, Shaun Johns, Addison Rodgers, Rehn Wishart, Jake Cuming, Dillon Bampton.

The Wirreanda Open Boys Indoor Cricket team are through to the State Finals after dominating wins against their minor round opponents. Needing to finish top of their group for the Southern Region, the boys, led by captain Lachlan Ferguson (Year10) never looked in trouble in game one against Reynella East, posting 115 and restricting Reynella to 77. Year 11s Josh Golding and Addison Rodgers were standouts while batting, with Rodgers fielding the house down and protecting the back net. Game two was against Christies Beach and the result again was never in doubt. Contributions from everyone ensured a score of 138 was posted and Christies Beach were kept to a score of 74.

Overall, a solid effort from the Wirreanda boys who will be challenging other Specialist Cricket Schools from around the state in the Grand Final during week 9.
