On Monday 29th October, Wirreanda High travelled to Adelaide High to participate in a series of  Super 8 games involving four schools in which each team bowls ten overs.
The first game was against Blackwood High. Blackwood batted first and scored 102 from their 10 overs. Wirreanda replied with 63. Liam Hennessy top scored making 27 not out.
In the second game Wirreanda made a really good start and finished on 66. There was some good batting by lachlin Ferguson 16 and Casey Chester 25. Unfortunately Heathfield were too good and made 75 in their allotted overs.
The third game was against Adelaide, the eventual champion. Wirreanda made 38, thanks mainly to Josh Farrant who scored 22 after a disastrous start. Adelaide scored the runs easily and finished on 108.
The games were played in an excellent spirit and the boys were better off for the experience, despite the results.
