TO PLAY CRICKET IS EASY. TO UNDERSTAND THE GAME TAKES TIME.

PRIMARY SCHOOLS SUPER 8 COMPETITION 2011

Wirreanda High together with the South Australian Cricket Association(SACA) organised a Super 8 competition that was played on Thursday 22nd September 2011 on the school oval. Year 4/5 and Year 6/7 students from Flaxmill, Coorara, Morphett Vale East and Woodcroft made up the participants who were involved in the day and had the opportunity to learn new cricket skills.
The games were umpired and scored by the Specialist Sport Cricket students from Year 9 and 10.
A number of parents stated that they were impressed by the assistance that was given to their children during the matches played. One parent mentioned that her son enjoyed the activities so much that he wanted to take up cricket as his sport.
Many thanks must go Bill Burnett, Michael Case, Anthony Jennings and Alex Barns from SACA who helped to set up and run the day, and to the Wirreanda High students who played an important part in encouraging our future cricketers.
