On the last day of term three 2015, the Year 8/9 cricket team travelled to Reynella East College for their T/20 fixture.

After the warm ups, Reynella East won the toss and elected to field first. Mohit Khanna and Zack Robertson opened the batting with Mohit missing the first ball, but tucking the second one down to fine leg for an easy single. He then attempted to come back for a second run only to find himself short of the crease and run out by a metre. To add insult to injury he touched short at the bowler's end meaning that instead of being out for one, he made a duck. The score was 1/0 after two deliveries. Josh Spall was the next batsman in and he looked comfortable from the first ball that he faced. Together with Zack who made 48, he built a very good partnership that produced 111 runs in 11 overs. Tylor Mills, who was playing in his first game for the school, joined Josh at the wicket and their partnership took the score to and extraordinary 2/248 after 20 overs. Tylor finished on 5 not out, while the standout performance came from Josh who finished on 180 not out. His total included 26 fours, 11 sixes and was made off 70 deliveries.

Reynella East found the run chase very difficult and were soon in trouble when Jack Lawrie-Corboy threw accurately to Josh Spall who took the bails off to dismiss Reynella East's opening batsman. Alex Hennessy quickly had the other opener caught at mid wicket by Zack Robertson. Zack then narrowly missed out on taking a hat-trick, but he finished with very good figures of 3/26 after his four overs. Josh Spall bowled well and finished with 2/28, while Mohit Khanna took 1/5 from his four overs. Reynella East ended up with a total on 8/94 at the completion of the game.

Jake Cuming, who was kept very busy during the entire game did a very good job with the scoring.

This was an outstanding result for the team who now go on to the next round.
