The Year 8-9 team travelled to Seaview High School on Friday 19th October for the second time in 2018, but this time it was for the first round of a T20 game.

Seaview again won the toss and decided to bat first. They managed a flying start and were 14 after three overs. Hayden Newman took the first wicket, but it was not until the score reached 68 that Llewelyn Wisman took a magnificent catch off his own bowling to break an important partnership. The highlights of the bowling and fielding came from Jaxon Newman who took 3/16 from his 4 overs, plus two catches. Hayden Newman(2/21) and Llewelyn Wisman(2/22) also bowled tightly in their overs, but Seaview possibly finished with slightly more runs than they should have on 8/125.

When it was Wirreanda's turn to bat Jude Schirmer and Jaxon Newman started off with 31 from seven overs. However, after Jude was dismissed for a solid 14, the rest of the batsmen collapsed with only Jaxon staying at the crease. He batted very well to finish with his top score of 29, whilst Cameron Prior made a handy 6 not out. Wirreanda were 8/68 after their 20 overs.

Tyson Craigie helped out with umpiring.
